Each Barefoot Saddle comes with a standard/medium pommel, that fits almost every horse. Barefoot of Germany recommends the narrow pommel for narrow horses, the standard/medium for most horses, the wide for broad shouldered horses, and the Extra Wide for horses without a noticeable wither and extremely wide shoulders. To determine which size is appropriate for your horse, we recommend printing out the sizing template and placing it on your horse.

For more customization, if necessary, there are Barefoot inserts available that come with the Barefoot Saddle Pads.

All Barefoot saddles are able to be adjusted to suit your horse, where different shoulder conformations exist. It is very easy to replace the insert – open the zipper on the pommel, exchange the inserts, close the zipper – done! If your horse has especially wide withers and back, you can consider the soft pommel.
